...some of the stuff is dated or plain no longer there, still makes for a perspective of history.

Telnet & BBS Resource Center

Introduction:

I like to point out something that many newcomers to Cyberspace are not aware of; If you have never used a BBS before, or since the early days of telecommunications, You will be pleasantly surprised. We have come a long way since then! Many of the local BBS's are now on the Internet By way of Telnet. Now most offer users support that is very hard to beat, plus some local flavor. Plus a few are still FREE!

BBS's today can offer full Internet E-Mail, POP3, Multi-lines, Teleconferences, Newsgroups, Chat Rooms, IRC, File Libraries, Sharing of MP3's files, Online Games, and Full Web Access, Along with a multitude of other services you just can't get from the Big boy's. For More Detailed Information on BBS's Click Here

Now one more thing you will need before you call, a Telnet program. Now the one I use is called mTelnet a free telnet client for OS/2 and Windows that has Z-Modem, Backscroll and a Phonebook. Its great for telneting to bbs's! Click Here to Download a copy of mTelnet or go to the O-Zone BBS Web Site...

Another is called Net term I found this Program to be very good for both Landline and telnet BBS's. Like the one's listed below.

Anyways, It's worth a mention. Here give it a Try, You just may find what you've been looking for!
