Persevering, Finding purpose as we approach Death
Most of my close ones know I am not religious. The word atheist is an oxymoron, that is not what I claim to be. Secular humanism is probably closer to reality, although in my opinion there is no reality. Everything is just a shadow of something else that we are either not allowed to know or just plain stupid and we cannot see it.
Although we look older as we age, we do not always feel older. As we age, we inevitably get closer to death, and it is natural to question the point of life. Why live when we inevitably die? Of course, the Christian has an answer to this. We believe that when we die we will be with God and live on in a new resurrection body. Because we have repented (said sorry to God) of our sins - our moral and attitude mistakes - and because we have lived to please God, we can have faith that we will experience a reward for being obedient. For example, Matthew 25:23 says, “...you have been faithful...come and share your Master’s happiness”.Before "Criminal Minds (TV program)" gained some popularity, the concept of Behavioural Analysis -- in my case goes back to "Artificial Intelligence", B.F. Skinner, around the early 80's.
Yet, if I look at the changes in my loved ones, I see it more and more -- that is, an attempt to get closer to G*d. This starts confirming findings from Skinner, Beer, Clark and many more.
There is absolutely no criticism, you have to do what you think you have to do. I just do not agree with it.

Path Is Sought for States to Escape Debt Burdens
By MARY WILLIAMS WALSH
Policy makers are working to find a way to let states declare bankruptcy and get out from under debts including the pensions they promised public workers.
...and I think "you have already taken our taxes to bail out you-know-who-and-their-friends", why would "policy makers" take it a step further to go bankrupt to avoid paying pensions and other debts?, it is not even that states will suffer what a real citizen has to when declaring bankruptcy, yet why not everybody declare bankruptcy? It seems the logical thing to do: no debts, no credit rating and please do print REAL money because we will need it.
Well, that was enough for the day, I just can't deal with the FDA and GOP spins.
Most people in power really think that the peasants are a bunch of idiots.

Turbulent Times
Giovanni, on their 25th wedding anniversary, takes his wife to Italy.
Priest praises Giovanni and asks him what he'll do for his 50th anniversary.
Giovanni replies, "I'll pick her up from Italy".
...when the TV started blurting out propaganda about how Capitalism saved the miners in Chile and their president, when asked about his request for each miner to bring a rock, he replied, "it's a memento for the Queen of England and Cameron", ...pure PR, more BS, etc., I turned it (the TV) off.

...a slight ray of light!
That is good!, the universe is showing signs it is actually working and has all along, ...we did not pay atention. This global recession is showing..., like seismic like activity and the frequency of these waves is not measured like shortwave in meters per second. It will be measured in decades and the spreadout throught the different continents will be noticeable. South America will catch the tail end and if they know how to surf will pull a hang-ten and come from on top of the wave with speed riding on the strength of those times.
